Once you have made the decision on your sleeping arrangement it's time to think about where to store your gear and how to access it. From standard drawer systems to functional, space creating cabinetry fitouts.
Besides Pop Top conversions, this is another one of our strength. Having travelled for many years overland and lived in a vehicle for longer periods of time, creating space when there is limited room is our forte. It all starts with as sketch from our customers on how the layout should look like. >> Use our sketch template to make it a bit easier.
We then transform this drawing and ideas into a professional CAD layout so you can see how it will look like in real life.
Once sigend off by you we start building. Using only the highest quality plywood (birch ply) which comes coated in various colours, the CNC router is cutting the various panels for the build.
For the assembly we use 'domino dowels' which provide the necessary strength and are preferred over screws. This way we ensure that the cabinetry is not coming appart, no matter what tracks you choose to get to your destination.
As for the hardware, we use high quality adjustable steel compression latches and durable, lightweight polyamide hinges with 304 stainless steel pins.
The end result is a beautifully crafted, sturdy interior fitout. All built to your specifications.
In case you sleep in a ground tent, swag or sleep in the back of your vehicle, the easiest way would be to put some sort of a drawer system in your vehicle. This gives you both easy access to most of your equipment, some space to organise what you take with you and could also double as a platform to sleep on.
A drawer system however will limit or even delete the internal 'living' space, just in case the weather turns really bad.
There are many manufacturers for these kind of setups on the market (Drifta / Off Road Systems / MSA, etc.)
Note: If you have decided for a Pop Top conversion, we do not recommend standard drawer systems, due to the limitation of access to the back of the vehicle. Also, internal access to the content of the drawer is normally not possible.
