After researching the market for all sorts of long range diesel fuel tanks, we've found one solution which is the most affordable, safe and practical way to extend the driving range of your 4x4 vehicle.

This long range fuel tank fits in the rear wheel arch on the driver side of the Defender, and uses the existing diesel inlet. It's easy to fill, and because the diesel fuel simply flows to the main tank increasing the diesel fuel storage capacity, you don't have to worry about switching on additional fuel pumps, check multiple fuel gauges, or think too much when filling up. It also allows you to buy cheaper diesel fuel at petrol stations throughout Australia, as you don't have to fill up that often.
Whilst 'only' 45 litres in capacity, the auxiliary long range diesel fuel tank extends the driving distance of your Landrover Defender by up to 350kms, typically giving you about 1000km between fuel stops. Note, however, that the additional distance gained depends on the terrain, your driving style and the load in your Land Rover.
